Child Safety Seat Inspections
Just call for an appointment, and one of CHFD's three trained technicians will inspect your seat, verify there are no recalls, and assist you with proper installation and fitment. Child passenger safety is important to Chesterfield's firefighters, so this service is provided free to anyone, regardless of residency. Please be sure to bring your seat instruction manual as well as your vehicle's owner's manual to your appointment.

Explorer Program
Students ages 16-21 may apply for the Chesterfield Fire Department Explorer Program. Students will learn what it takes to be a firefighter and get some hands on training.

Operation Teddy Bear
Through Telephone Pioneers of America, we participate in OPERATION TEDDY BEAR, giving huggable Teddy Bears to children involved in traumatic situations.



Chesterfield Goodfellows/Toys for Tots
Chesterfield Firefighters and Firefighter's Local 4011 have taken over the responsibility of the Chesterfield Goodfellows organization. Chesterfield firefighters also help out with the local Toys for Tots program. The Chesterfield Fire Department employees are helping to make sure no Chesterfield child is without a Christmas. Anyone interested in volunteering, or if you are in need of help, or know someone who is, call the Chesterfield Goodfellows at 586-716-1555 Ext 240. Phone lines are open from November 1st - December 1st each year.
